Each semester, the Morgan State University Opera Workshop (MSUOW) offers performing opportunities for students interested in broadening their operatic and music theatre knowledge and experience. MSUOW presents two fully-stages productions annually with piano. Students are taught role preparation, stage movement, basis stage and lighting design, stage and house management. Past productions include Gianni Schicchi, Treemonisha, Highway One USA, Gallantry, The Medium and many more. As outreach, MSUOW presents a matinee performance open to public school students and senior citizens from the surrounding Baltimore communities. The MSUOW is directed by Vincent Dion Stringer with musical preparation by Dr. Samuel Springer.
