In addition to our theatre venues, the Murphy Fine Arts Center also houses the beautiful James E. Lewis Museum of Art, named for the late Professor of Art. Founded as The Gallery of Art in 1950, the museum has grown into a museum with more than 4,000 pieces valued at more than $10 million. The JELMA makes a beautiful setting for intimate receptions and small events.
Nathan Carter Atrium
The Murphy Fine Arts Center’s Nathan Carter Atrium—dedicated to, and named for, the late Dr. Nathan M. Carter, Jr.—is also a beautiful space for elegant receptions and special events.
